Hi everyone! I would like to ask about Scrum meetings. We have recently started implementing Agile in our team, and I was just appointed Scrum Master. At the first meetings there was a problem - everyone quickly lost focus and started discussing things that are not related to the day's tasks. I understand that it's important to keep the meeting short and to the point, but it's still hard to get everyone focused. Has anyone had a similar problem? How do you make meetings productive and keep them short?

I don't work with Agile directly, but I observe a team that is actively implementing Scrum. It seems that the main thing is not to make the meeting long, but to make it focused. Even if some things are outside the agenda, it is better to discuss them after the meeting. It is important that everyone understands their role and purpose.
This is a common problem when you first start working with Agile. I also faced it when I was a Scrum Master in my team. The important thing is to be able to guide the conversation and not let it stray off topic. Setting the right expectations and creating a clear plan for each meeting really helps with this. I found an article that does a great job of explaining how to organize effective Scrum meetings, especially in terms of the scrum master role. It helped us to make the meetings more structured and productive.
